Tobacco Road meets the Technology Highway Part Oracle|Primavera (Project Management)
The City of Durham Public Works Department is taking full advantage of Oracle | Primavera’s ability to link Contract Manager (CM) and P6, the enterprise project management software. The linkage in CM is specified at the highly granular level of individual pay items in the Schedule of Values (SOV). The City uses this powerful tool in managing costs and project timelines in construction contracts for public infrastructure improvements. The typical contract where this methodology is employed involves a dozen (12) separate projects over a 1-2 year timeframe. The contracts usually include 100-200 pay items in the SOV and have a total value between $4-10M; spread disproportionately among the projects in the contract. This presentation will highlight how the Integrated Oracle | Primavera solution has stream lined the processes at the City of Durham and provided better project controls with real time access to data need for decision making.

Equential goForms for JD Edwards and EBS
Increasingly, firms are required to capture and document critical data in the field related to items such as Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Safety and Inspections. Often, this data needs to include a combination of data selected from a fixed list, free text data, signatures from the customer and/or an employee, and photographs. Upon completion, such forms are typically routed to multiple internal and external stakeholders. To address and improve upon this need, goForms provides an electronic format to capture such data on Tablet PCs. Using drop-down lists, radio buttons, and integration with your ERP, data accuracy is greatly improved. Upon completion, e-signature and electronic routing capabilities streamline the communication process and thus downstream responsiveness.
